Job summary

DAF Trucks in Eindhoven is seeking a logistics employee for the Packing & Shipping team. You will prepare CKD crates by pre-packing and packing, and you may operate a hoist for heavy components with dedicated training. You will scan parts for accuracy and may drive a forklift as needed.

The role is full-time through Randstad with a path toward a permanent contract, offering two shifts and bus service for commuting.

Qualifications

At DAF Trucks, we are looking for logistics talent for our Physical Material Management (FMB) department. Together with a great team, you will ensure that truck parts are packed perfectly for a long journey. Your work will go all over the world! This is a full-time position starting through Randstad, with great future prospects: if it’s a good match on both sides, a permanent contract is waiting for you!

who are you

As a logistics employee, you naturally work carefully and accurately. Furthermore, you are skilled in working with scanners and computers. Holding a forklift certificate is a plus. Don't have one yet? No problem! You can also obtain it through Randstad. Additionally, you recognize yourself in the following points:

• You are physically able to lift up to 15 kg
• Preferably, you have experience in logistics
• You can communicate in Dutch or you want to learn it

what will you do

You will be working in the Packing & Shipping team, where you will be responsible for preparing all parts for CKD (Completely Knocked Down). A CKD crate essentially contains a complete truck in individual parts, which are shipped worldwide so the trucks can be assembled on-site.

• Pre-packing: You package parts using bags, boxes, or bubble wrap. This work is mostly done standing up.
• Assembly Line: You pack materials into the large CKD crates. This ranges from light to heavy components. For heavy items such as engines and axles, we use a hoist (you will receive a dedicated training course for this).
• Scanning & Admin: You scan every part you place in the crate to ensure the customer gets exactly what they need. Occasionally, you will drive a forklift to supply or clear away materials.
