Job summary

DAF Trucks N.V. zoekt een Financieel Analist voor de afdeling Finance. Je werkt aan financiële planning, consolidatie en forecasting en ondersteunt de maandafsluiting en budgetcyclus in samenwerking met lokale controllers en PACCAR.

Je rapporteert periodieke rapportages en salaris- en belastingpakketten, met exposure aan senior management en audits. Een dynamische, leerzame omgeving biedt ontwikkeling en doorgroeimogelijkheden.

Qualifications

• Master in accounting en/of bedrijfseconomie vereist.
• 0-3 jaar relevante werkervaring.
• Sterke analytische vaardigheden en nauwkeurigheid.
• Goede communicatieve vaardigheden in Nederlands en Engels.
• Affiniteit met databases en spreadsheets (SAP en Excel).

Responsibilities

• Ondersteunt afsluit- en consolidatieprocessen en helpt bij maandforecasting en begroting.
• Stelt periodieke financiële- en managementrapportages op samen met HR, Sales, Tax en auditors.
• Verantwoordelijk voor headcount-rapportage en internationale belastingpakketten.
• Deeltaken met CBS-inquiries en voert interne controles uit.
• Draagt bij aan projecten ter verbetering van rapportageprocessen.
• Ongeveer de helft van de tijd aan maandelijkse closing en forecasting, rest aan verbeterprojecten.

As a Financial Analyst within the Financial Analysis & Forecasting department, you will play a key role in DAF's financial planning, consolidation, and forecasting processes. Your analyses and insights directly support strategic decision-making by the Boards of Management of both DAF Trucks and PACCAR, one of the world's leading manufacturers of premium commercial vehicles.

Main responsibilities:

• You support the financial closing and consolidation process and you assist in the preparation and analysis of the monthly forecasts, as well as the annual budget cycle, in cooperation with (local) business controllers and PACCAR corporate
• You prepare periodic financial and management reports, working together with other departments within the company, such as HR, Marketing & Sales, Tax as well as internal and external auditors
• You are responsible for periodic headcount reporting and preparation of the annual international tax packages
• You are involved in finance related subjects such as CBS (Dutch Central Bureau of Statistics) inquiries
• You perform the internal controls within the area of responsibility
• You are involved in projects to improve the reporting processes; for example support replacement of the global reporting system

Approximately half of your time will be dedicated to the monthly closing and forecasting cycle, while the remaining time will be spent on improvement initiatives, analyses, and special projects.

The Financial Analysis & Forecasting department offers a unique perspective on DAF’s business. Jouw profiel

• Master’s degree in accounting and/or business economics
• 0-3 years of work experience in a financial position
• Strong analytical skills, stress-resistant, flexible, highly accurate and good communication skills
• Nature of the job requires affinity with databases (SAP and BFC) and spreadsheets (Excel)
• Your knowledge of English, both verbally and in writing, is excellent (Dutch language is a pre)

Over 200 financial professionals are responsible for timely and accurate reporting of DAF’s financial results, using efficient accounting processes, which are based on robust systems and strong internal controls.

The Financial Analysis & Forecasting department consists of 3 persons and is responsible for the financial consolidation and forecasting of DAF’s worldwide figures.
