Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Level 3 SDA Engineer to lead the design, implementation, and escalation support of complex Software‑Defined Access (SDA) and Intent‑Based Networking (IBN) infrastructures. This role requires deep expertise across enterprise routing/switching, wireless networking, network security, and Cisco DNA Center automation. You will act as a senior SME, guiding architecture, operations, and mentoring junior engineers.
Key Responsibilities
- SDA & Fabric Management:Design, deploy, and operate Cisco SDA architectures for wired and wireless networks, including multi‑site fabric domains, control plane nodes, border nodes, and edge nodes.
- Fabric Operations & Migration:Lead greenfield and brownfield implementations, including migration from traditional OTT networks to SDA Fabric.
- Policy & Security Integration:Configure and integrate Cisco ISE for dynamic policy enforcement, 802.1x, TrustSec, SGTs, and endpoint profiling.
- L3 Escalation & Troubleshooting:Resolve complex incidents involving LISP registration, VXLAN encapsulation, multicast, and endpoint mobility. Deliver detailed RCA for critical outages.
- Automation & Orchestration:Use Cisco DNA Center (Catalyst Center) APIs and programmability to automate provisioning, SWIM upgrades, and operational workflows.
- Mentorship & Documentation:Produce HLDs, LLDs, migration playbooks, and provide technical guidance to L1/L2 engineers.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or equivalent experience.
- Experience: 8+ years in enterprise networking, with 3–5 years focused on Cisco SDA and DNA Center.
- Core Technologies:
- Underlay: OSPF, IS‑IS, BGP
- Overlay: VXLAN, LISP, EVPN
- Cisco Catalyst 9000 series switches
- Cisco Catalyst 9800 wireless controllers
- Security & AAA: Strong expertise in Cisco ISE (Policy Sets, TACACS+/RADIUS, SGTs).
- Network Programmability: Python, REST APIs for automation and orchestration.
- Certifications: Active CCNP Enterprise (minimum).
