Job summary

TruLegal, an international organization, seeks a Legal Operations Lead to build and lead its legal operations function from the ground up in the Netherlands. The role covers technology, AI and automation, matter management, reporting and KPIs, contract infrastructure, and outside counsel management, while remaining hands-on with contracts, international operations, and legal research.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in legal operations or related fields with a track record of building or improving operations.
• Proven experience implementing technology, automation, and AI-enabled solutions in a professional setting.
• Ability to design scalable processes and systems that drive adoption and efficiency.
• Experience with legal technology platforms covering contract/matter management, knowledge management, and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Build and lead a scalable legal operations function with infrastructure to support a growing international team.
• Design intake, matter management, reporting processes, and KPI frameworks to improve visibility and planning.
• Evaluate and optimize technology, AI, and automation across legal workflows including contracting and research.
• Develop contract management playbooks, templates, approvals, and related infrastructure.
• Provide guidance to junior resources and manage relationships with outside counsel.
