Job summary

Hazera Seeds in the Netherlands is seeking an experienced in-house Legal Counsel to act as the primary legal sparring partner across the global business. You will work with managers and teams worldwide, translating legal risks into practical solutions.

You will draft, review and negotiate commercial, corporate and IP matters, advise on regulatory issues and coordinate external counsel, with travel expected about 3 trips per year.

Qualifications

• A Master’s degree in Dutch law.
• At least 4 years of relevant legal experience.
• Experience as an attorney-at-law is strongly preferred (completion of the Dutch professional legal training program (beroepsopleiding advocatuur)).
• Excellent command of Dutch and English.
• Strong knowledge of commercial contract law and corporate law.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Dedicated, committed with a pragmatic and solution-oriented mindset.
• Attention to detail and ability to work independently

Responsibilities

• Drafting, reviewing and negotiating commercial agreements, including distribution, licensing, collaboration, procurement and sales agreements.
• Advising business teams on commercial, corporate and operational legal issues.
• Advising on intellectual property, regulatory and compliance matters.
• Managing disputes and coordinating external legal counsel where necessary.
• Participating in cross-functional project teams and steering committees.
• Helping the business translate legal risks into practical and workable solutions.
• Working closely with your colleagues at the Legal Department.

Your role

As Legal Counsel, you will be the primary legal sparring partner for various business stakeholders within Hazera. You will be part of the Legal Team, working closely with colleagues throughout the global organization and the wider Limagrain Group.
