Kyndryl is seeking an experienced Legal Counsel to support our Netherlands business and Europe-wide initiatives. The role involves providing pragmatic, risk-based guidance on corporate, commercial, technology, and regulatory matters and handling complex transactions including IT contracts.

Based in the Netherlands, this individual contributor position partners with the European Legal team and reports to the Benelux Head of Legal.

The Role

Kyndryl is hiring an experienced, commercially minded Legal Counsel to support our business in the Netherlands and contribute to high-impact legal work across Europe. You'll act as a trusted advisor to the business, giving pragmatic, risk-based guidance across corporate, commercial, technology, and regulatory matters — not just flagging risk, but helping the business move through it.

This is a newly created individual contributor role within the European Legal team, based in the Netherlands and reporting to the Benelux Head of Legal. It suits a hands-on lawyer who pairs strong legal expertise with sound commercial judgment, works comfortably with senior stakeholders, and wants ownership of complex transactions, technology services contracts, and strategic initiatives — in a fast-paced, genuinely international environment.

Who You Are

• Qualified lawyer with a Dutch law degree, LL.M., or equivalent legal qualification.


• Typically 5+ years' post-qualification experience in corporate, commercial, and IT law; more senior candidates will be considered depending on expertise and business fit.


• Strong track record in corporate and commercial law, ideally including complex, large-scale, or technology-related contracts.


• Proven experience drafting, reviewing, and negotiating commercial IT agreements with internal and external stakeholders.


• Background in a leading law firm or as in-house counsel within an international organisation.


• Fluent in Dutch and English, written and spoken; French or another major-market language is a plus.


• Holding, or eligible to obtain, a VGB (Verklaring van Geen Bezwaar) security clearance to support public sector and defence customers in the Netherlands is preferred.
