The Hague University of Applied Sciences is seeking a lecturer for Economics, Statistics and Applied Research within the International Business (IB) bachelor programme. The role focuses on delivering interactive workshops, teaching Economics and Statistics, guiding students, and assessing theses and internships.

Job description

We are looking for a lecturer in Economics, Statistics and Applied Research for our International Business (IB) bachelor programme at The Hague University of Applied Sciences.

An important dimension of this position is that you will deliver interactive practical workshops. In these workshops you share the knowledge and experience with your students. As students work to apply the knowledge they gain during the course, you will assess, guide and coach them, in order to facilitate integration of theoretical and practical skills. This position mainly entails:

• Delivering classes (lectures and workshops) Economics and Statistics modules.
• Delivering applied research modules such as Applied Quantitative Research Methods and Global Business and Economic Analysis.
• Innovating and continuously improving the modules.
• Coaching and assessing students' graduation theses.
• Coaching students during their internship.

What do we expect from you?

For this vacancy, we will only consider applicants who hold a valid work permit for the Netherlands. As the position needs to be filled urgently, preference will be given to candidates who are already residing in the Netherlands.

This is what you can expect from us

• A temporary appointment of 0.6 - 0.8 fte, 24 - 32 hours per week, for one year starting from 9 November 2026.
• A salary between 4.632,17 and 6.677,44 gross per month (scale 11) for a full-time work week.
• Internal candidates from The Hague University of Applied Sciences may be given priority for this position.
• Guaranteed end-of-year pay of 8,3%.
• An extensive leave arrangement;
• The choice between an NS Business card (2nd class) for your commutes or a kilometer based compensation.
