Job summary

The British School in the Netherlands (BSN) is seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Learning Support Assistants to join our Senior School Voorschoten campus in The Hague. The LSAs will provide direct support for students with a range of needs, including language and literacy difficulties and social communication challenges, in classroom settings and targeted withdrawal sessions with the AEN team.

Qualifications

Excellent, clear levels of spoken and written English.
Proven experience supporting students with language learning and literacy needs, plus social/communication needs.
Strong planning, organisation and record-keeping; experience with ICT apps such as Outlook and Excel.
Flexible, proactive, able to work both independently and as part of a large team.
Good knowledge of the British National Curriculum.
Experience with children aged 11–18.

Responsibilities

Provide direct support for students with additional learning needs, including language and literacy support and social communication needs.
Support students both in the classroom and through targeted withdrawal sessions in partnership with classroom teachers and the AEN team.
