Job summary

Syneos Health seeks a Principal Statistician for early-phase studies in a fully home-based role across Europe. You will lead biostatistics activities, mentor staff, and contribute to SAPs and regulatory submissions. A PhD/MS in statistics with 6–8 years of pharma experience, strong R/SAS skills, and excellent communication are required.

Qualifications

• Graduate degree in biostatistics or related discipline.
• Extensive experience in clinical trials or equivalent; ability to lead multiple projects.
• Proficiency in R programming.
• Knowledge of statistical design and regulatory guidelines.
• Experience with regulatory submissions preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• English language proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Mentor biostatisticians and oversee training.
• Direct activities of other biostatistics personnel on projects.
• Provide support across all statistical tasks from protocol to CSR.
• Prepare SAPs and mock-up displays; collaborate with sponsor.
• Lead complex projects and attend regulatory meetings when needed.
• Manage timelines and communicate progress.
