Job summary

BlockTech is seeking a Quantitative Trader to join its Amsterdam options trading team. You will own trading systems end-to-end and drive new strategy directions alongside researchers and engineers.

We trade crypto derivatives and spot markets globally, with a 24/7 operation. A strong background in quantitative fields and 3+ years of experience, plus Python proficiency, is required. On-site in Amsterdam with relocation support and competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• Strong academic background in mathematics, physics, statistics, or computer science.
• 3+ years of quantitative trading experience.
• Proficiency in Python with strong numerical and algorithmic skills.
• Ability to stay focused and exercise sound judgment during busy markets.

Responsibilities

• Own and monitor the live trading systems end-to-end.
• Manage positions and risk, adjust pricing as markets shift.
• Contribute ideas to shape the desk's direction and strategy.
• Develop and deploy new trading strategies with researchers and engineers.
• Identify new business opportunities as markets evolve.
