Job summary

Trinamics is seeking a Machine / Industrial Automation Engineer in the Eindhoven region to design and implement control and automation solutions for high-tech mechatronic systems, linking mechatronics and software via model-based engineering.

You will lead cross-disciplinary teams, translating complex system concepts into scalable implementations, with a focus on precision, reliability and safe operation. This role offers a long-term assignment with potential direct contract with the client.

Qualifications

MBSE knowledge and software development affinity.
Experience in lead or senior engineering roles.
Knowledge of sequencing, scheduling and state modelling.
Experience with autonomous systems coordination and hybrid-mode switching.

Responsibilities

Designing and optimizing control and automation logic for complex mechatronic systems.
Developing sequencing, scheduling and state-based models for machine behaviour.
Coordinating autonomous subsystems and safeguarding consistent operation at system level.
Analyzing system network behaviour, communication flows and timing constraints.
Implementing strategies for damage control, fault handling and safe recovery.
Designing mode-switching behaviour for hybrid systems with multiple operating states.
Defining and implementing calibration, performance monitoring and diagnostics (CPD) concepts.
Building and validating dynamic and simulation models using model-based engineering.
Working closely with mechanical, electrical and software teams, in a lead-engineering role.
