Job summary

Johnson & Johnson in Leiden, Netherlands, seeks a Scientific Manager Lab (Data) Systems to lead validated data systems within Analytical Development for CGT. You will manage a Leiden-based team and collaborate with global partners to drive digitalization, data availability, traceability and integrity.

The role focuses on aligning stakeholders, delivering GMP-compliant solutions, and advancing data automation across labs in Leiden and US sites.

Qualifications

Masters degree in Biomedical Science or Data Engineering.
10+ years of experience in data systems in a lab environment.
Detail oriented with a quality mindset.
Can-do mindset and ability to deliver in a complex organization.
Excellent stakeholder management skills.
Experienced people manager (5–10 years preferred).
Fluent in English; Dutch is a bonus.
Willing to travel to the US 10–15% (quarterly).

Responsibilities

Globally implement validated data systems to increase data availability, quality and traceability.
Lead the Data Systems team based in Leiden (1 Team Lead + 3 members, possible expansion).
Oversee the Local equipment team (2 direct reports and external LCM team).
Ensure data integrity by implementing appropriate systems and workflows.
Achieve global alignment and buy-in from stakeholders and management.
Perform master data configuration through the team.
Maintain compliant data systems and participate in GMP audits.
Implement automated data capture from analytical equipment into data systems.
