Job summary

All About Expats in Amsterdam is seeking a Lead Information Engineer to shape the digital ecosystem and information management strategy for energy transition projects. You will manage client IM requirements, align systems with business processes, and lead the development of new data tools.

The role focuses on data pipelines, ontologies, data architecture, and ensuring compliance with IEC/ISO standards, offering visa sponsorship for NL and strong growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in engineering or information sciences.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in information management.
• Experience or knowledge of EPC, offshore wind, BIM, Python, ontologies and related standards.

Responsibilities

• Analyze client IM requirements and study new technologies stated in these requirements.
• Manage client contact on IM and align progress and implications of IM on projects with project managers.
• Align technical systems and business processes with IM client requirements.
• Manage data exchange, lead development efforts of new tools, and review in-house data flows and information processes.
• Describe, implement, and review tagging systems.
• Improve systems and processes of the company, including aligning engineering and procurement processes with digital tools.
• Maintain and expand the company's data and software architecture, and develop the in-house ontology.
• Guide the development of innovative in-house engineering databases and web applications.
• Scope and manage the procurement and implementation of new tools and software.
• Develop information and data pipelines and tools.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards (e.g., IEC and ISO) and support the documentation and elaboration of work processes.
