Job summary

OMEGA, Inc. is looking for a Firmware Software Architect in Waalwijk, Netherlands. This technical authority will define and safeguard the architecture of firmware components for complex Data Acquisition (DAQ) systems, driving innovation while ensuring exceptional performance and reliability.

The ideal candidate has a Master’s degree and over 5 years of experience in firmware architecture. Responsibilities include collaboration with system architects, evaluating technologies, and guiding firmware teams.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree (M.Sc.) in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Extensive experience in firmware architecture, embedded systems, and digital hardware bring-up for complex hardware platforms >5 years.
• Strong understanding of hardware-near software architecture, modular low-level design, and real-time system constraints.

Responsibilities

• Own the end-to-end firmware architecture for DAQ hardware platforms.
• Partner closely with the System Architect to shape system concepts.
• Evaluate processors, SoCs, digital interfaces, and communications technologies.
