Job summary

MS Amlin in the Netherlands seeks an experienced Data Governance Business Analyst to support enterprise governance, metadata management, and data catalog initiatives.

You will work with data owners, stewards, and engineers to implement Purview and establish standard data definitions, classification, and lineage across platforms.

Knowledge of P&C insurance is a plus, and the role emphasizes collaboration, regulatory awareness, and delivering transparent data assets.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in data governance, data management, or data-related business analysis roles.
• Hands-on experience implementing data governance tools, particularly using Microsoft Purview or Unity Catalog.
• Strong experience working with data stakeholders across business and technology teams.
• Good understanding of the Dutch insurance industry, particularly Property & Casualty (P&C).
• Understanding of data protection and privacy regulations, especially GDPR, and how they relate to governance and metadata management.
• Knowledge of data lineage and data quality management practices.

Responsibilities

• Support the design and implementation of enterprise data governance frameworks, processes, and policies.
• Support implementation of data governance controls aligned with regulatory frameworks including GDPR.
• Help establish and operationalize data ownership, stewardship, and governance workflows.
• Collaborate with business and technical teams to define data standards and governance practices.
• Lead the implementation of data catalog capabilities using Purview.
