Job summary

Doghouse Recruitment is helping a fast-growing Amsterdam-based trading firm find a Tech Lead Data Architecture & Engineering to own data strategy and build high-performance pipelines. You will work closely with trading, research, backend and BI teams to define architecture and drive the data roadmap.

The role demands hands-on leadership in real-time, event-driven data and familiarity with Postgres and Kafka to deliver scalable, low-latency systems.

Qualifications

• Experience architecting enterprise-grade data foundations.
• Strong background in real-time and event-driven data design.
• Ability to own and drive data architecture decisions with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Define the data architecture and governance framework.
• Bring structure, workflows, governance and technical hygiene to the data landscape.
• Design real-time and high-frequency data pipelines for reliability and low latency.
• Set the foundation for a future data platform and data warehouse.
• Collaborate daily with trading, research, backend and BI teams.
• Create clear, usable datasets for quant and trading teams.
• Shape the data roadmap in a fragmented landscape.
