Ampstek is seeking a highly experienced LANSA Engineer to design, develop, and support LANSA-based applications on IBM i/AS400 with strong DB2/400 integration.

The role emphasizes deep LANSA knowledge, SQL expertise, and production support to ensure robust business logic and efficient data handling.

Formación

• We are looking for an expert in LANSA development with IBM i/AS400 and DB2/400 knowledge.
• Strong SQL/DB2 skills and data modelling capabilities are required.
• Experience with LANSA RDML/RDMLX and LANSA Frameworks is essential.
• Screen development and business logic implementation are part of the role.
• Familiarity with job queues, batch processing, and message queues is expected.
• Knowledge of system monitoring and performance troubleshooting is a plus.
• RPG IV / RPG ILE and payments domain experience are nice to have.

Responsabilidades

• Develop and maintain LANSA-based applications with IBM i/AS400 backend.
• Manage database logic, performance, and SQL with DB2/400.
• Implement LANSA repository concepts and screen development.
• Troubleshoot production issues and monitor system performance.
• Collaborate with business teams to refine requirements and deliver fixes.

Key Skills & Responsibilities:

• Strong experience in Visual LANSA, RDML/RDMLX, and LANSA Frameworks
• Good understanding of LANSA Repository concepts
• Experience in screen development and business logic
• Strong knowledge of IBM i / AS400 / iSeries
• Hands‑on experience with DB2/400, job queues, batch processing, and message queues
• Experience with system monitoring and performance troubleshooting
• Strong SQL and DB2 skills
• Knowledge of data modelling and query optimisation

Nice to Have:

• RPG IV / RPG ILE experience
• Financial Services or Payments domain experience
