Job summary

Ritchie Bros. Auctioneers, Inc. is seeking a KYC & Customer Onboarding Specialist to manage day-to-day onboarding and screening for customers in Breda.

You will own cases requiring manual review after our third-party compliance screening tool and work with the Legal Department to finalize onboarding. The role requires practical understanding of KYC, sanctions screening, and end-to-end onboarding journeys, with strong communication across multilingual colleagues and internal stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Experience in customer onboarding, KYC operations or related compliance roles.
• Working knowledge of customer due diligence, screening and sanctions-compliance processes.
• Experience using a compliance, KYC or sanctions-screening platform in high-volume environments.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day operational compliance for screening and onboarding of customers.
• Review and assess cases generated by the third-party screening tool.
• Act as first line of assessment for manual reviews or further investigation.
• Contact customers to obtain required information or documentation.
• Perform manual KYC and compliance checks when automation cannot clear a case.
• Coordinate sanctions-screening alerts with the Legal Department.
• Collaborate with local colleagues to support multilingual customer communications.
• Track and manage outstanding cases to ensure timely completion.
• Maintain clear records of reviews, communications, decisions, and escalations.
• Provide feedback to stakeholders to improve onboarding processes.
