Job summary

Leaseweb's Container Services team is seeking a System Engineer to automate deployment and management of Kubernetes clusters worldwide. You will help evolve the managed Kubernetes product with a focus on scalability, observability, and reliability.

You will join a multidisciplinary team, work in a remote-first setup with Amsterdam HQ meetups, and contribute to runbooks, docs, and customer support while exploring new Kubernetes versions and best practices.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes, including deploying and managing clusters in production.
• Experience operating Kubernetes at scale, across multiple clusters and environments.
• Proficiency with Helm and Kustomize for packaging and deployment.
• Experience with ArgoCD or similar GitOps tools and solid GitOps/SRE/DevOps knowledge.
• CKA or demonstrated Kubernetes networking and storage fundamentals and ClusterApi lifecycle.

Responsibilities

• Automate deployment, monitoring, and management of Kubernetes clusters across Leaseweb's compute offerings worldwide.
• Explore, evaluate, and integrate new Kubernetes versions and components, advising on best practices.
• Support customers and the development team with Leaseweb's Kubernetes product.
• Deliver across the full lifecycle: design, implementation, deployment, monitoring, and aftercare.
• Troubleshoot cluster issues and contribute to runbooks that help the team resolve problems faster.
