Job summary

Salt Digital Recruitment is seeking a Kotlin Mobile Developer to design, develop, test, and maintain native Android apps for a client in Amsterdam. This freelance (KVK/ZZP) role spans 6 months with a hands-on, end-to-end development focus.

You'll collaborate with product, design, QA, backend and engineering teams, applying modern Android practices, architectures, automated tests, and CI/CD to deliver scalable, reliable mobile solutions.

Qualifications

• Strong experience developing native Android applications with Kotlin.
• Good knowledge of Android SDK, Jetpack, and modern Android architecture.
• Experience with automated testing and CI/CD.
• Understanding of REST APIs.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain native Android applications using Kotlin and modern Android practices.
• Write clean, reusable, maintainable, and well-tested code.
• Design and implement new mobile features based on business and product requirements.
• Apply appropriate architecture, design patterns, and Android development standards.
• Develop automated unit and UI tests and continuously improve application quality.
• Identify and resolve performance, reliability, and production issues.
• Participate in technical design, code reviews, and architecture discussions.
• Monitor application performance and contribute to continuous improvement.
• Collaborate effectively with product, design, QA, backend, and engineering teams.
• Contribute to technical documentation and support knowledge sharing within the team.
