Job summary

Hoogwegt in Arnhem is seeking a Junior Trader DACH to learn the international dairy trade while taking responsibility from the start. You will trade cream and milk across Europe, focusing on the German-speaking market, taking over an existing customer portfolio and building new commercial relationships.

This is a hands-on commercial role where you will call, negotiate, make decisions and learn by doing. Trading experience is not required, and you will join the Dairy Liquids trading team in

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in International Business, Business Administration, Economics, Commerce or a similar field.
• German at native or near-native level.
• Good command of English; Dutch is not required.
• Either your first commercial work experience or relevant internships, recent graduates are welcome to apply.
• Natural interest in sales, negotiation and international business.
• Confidence to pick up the phone and build relationships with customers and suppliers.
• Willingness to travel regularly to customers in Germany.

Responsibilities

• Buying and selling liquid dairy products such as cream and milk.
• Maintaining frequent contact with customers and suppliers by phone.
• Managing and developing your own customer portfolio.
• Negotiating prices, volumes and commercial conditions.
• Identifying changes in supply and demand and acting on commercial opportunities.
• Building long-term relationships with customers in Germany and other European markets.
• Sharing market information and working closely with the other traders and logistics team.
• Regularly travelling to Germany to meet customers and strengthen relationships.
