Job description

The Junior Tech Specialist - Operations focuses on essential tasks and responsibilities within the operational activities of the shared services team, primarily related to finance and other shared services functions.

The role supports the Technology Team with administrative and process tasks, including creating POs, preparing reports and documents, collaborating with the finance team, maintaining technology cost centers, and continuously improving these areas. Additionally, providing tech support to business domains and monitoring shared services middleware will be part of the responsibilities. Technical specialists will work closely with the Shared Services team and are encouraged to utilize automation and modern tools to enhance daily operations across departments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Handle operational tasks in the Source 2 Pay process, budget process, and other financial operational processes of the technology team;
  • Create purchase order numbers for the tech department;
  • Prepare reports (KPIs, budget spends, financials, etc.) to support technological support;
  • Maintain confidentiality in line with citizenM's information security policies;
  • Administer finance tools (e.g., BC365 and Proquro);
  • Assist with team requests and manage relationships with core suppliers and the Source 2 Pay process;
  • Identify and participate in automation initiatives related to these processes;
  • Monitor and respond to shared services middleware;
  • Support back-office tooling;
  • Collaborate with digital employees to improve performance;
  • Execute and enhance internal control tasks.
Qualifications / Skills
  • Proficient in using various financial, administrative, and office online solutions (G-Suite, HR applications, financial software);
  • Experience or familiarity with Source to Pay or related financial processes;
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and at least one additional language;
  • Strong planning and scheduling abilities;
  • Ability to multitask and meet both regular and ad-hoc deadlines;
  • Team-oriented mindset;
  • High attention to detail;
