Job summary

Experience: 3+ years

We’re looking for a Junior Software Developer with around 3+ years of commercial development experience to join a technology team in Amsterdam on an initial 6-month contract.

This is a great opportunity for a Java-focused developer who enjoys building customer-facing applications and working with modern, distributed systems. You’ll be working in a collaborative engineering environment, contributing to applications operating at significant scale.

What you’ll bring

• 3+ years of professional software development experience
• Strong experience with Java, Spring Boot and microservices — specific versions are not required
• Experience building and supporting customer-facing applications
• Experience working with SQL and/or NoSQL databases
• A relevant technical background in Java, backend development and distributed systems
• Experience working on large-scale applications, ideally supporting 10,000+ users
• Clear evidence of project impact and measurable contributions, rather than simply a list of responsibilities
• Good understanding of software development practices, collaboration and version control

Nice to have experience with:
