Job summary

Mission Solutions & Engineering in Delft, Netherlands, is seeking a highly skilled RF Systems Engineer to analyse and improve RF systems and components across satellite projects. You will address EMI/EMC concerns and ensure optimal performance under varying conditions.

Responsibilities include simulations, test planning, data analysis, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to deliver integrated RF solutions.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications or related field.
• At least 3 years RF engineering or related experience.
• In-depth knowledge of RF theory, microwave engineering, antenna design principles.
• Experience with RF system simulation and modelling tools (HFSS, CST, MATLAB, Genesys, Python).
• Experience with RF test equipment (spectrum analysers, network analysers, oscilloscopes) and EMI/EMC testing equipment.
• Experience with EMI/EMC compliance, grounding, shielding, filtering, and layout techniques.
• Good communication skills in English (spoken and written).
• Ability to work independently, think critically, and manage multiple projects.

Responsibilities

• Perform antenna and RF system simulations to analyse and predict performance on various platforms.
• Develop and execute test plans to validate RF system performance and ensure design compliance.
• Analyse data from RF tests and simulations to diagnose issues and optimise performance.
• Identify RF-related issues like interference, noise, EMI/EMC challenges and design solutions.
• Collaborate with hardware, software, and mechanical engineers to integrate RF systems into satellites.
• Prepare detailed technical documentation including design specs and test reports.
• Conduct field tests and evaluations to ensure RF systems meet requirements and customer expectations.
• Stay current with industry trends and emerging RF technologies.
