Job summary

Danone's Nutricia Research Centre in Utrecht seeks an Assistant Buyer/Junior Buyer to support R&I purchasing of materials, reagents, and equipment for research projects. You will ensure timely access to the right materials and collaborate with suppliers, researchers, and logistics teams in a fast-paced research environment.

You will work to optimise the procurement workflow, navigate multiple software platforms, and communicate in Dutch and English.

Qualifications

• MBO level thinking and working
• Knowledge of laboratory supplies and scientific environments
• Strong purchasing-related skills: comparing offers and supplier reliability
• Customer-oriented and proactive mindset
• Strong organizational and communication skills

Responsibilities

• Process purchase requests, request quotations, create and place purchase orders
• Maintain daily contact with suppliers and explain delivery timelines
• Collaborate with logistics and researchers to ensure correct receipt and distribution of goods
• Record product information, quotations and invoices in systems; support audits
