Job summary

Boatcaptain in IJmuiden is seeking a junior Allround Maritime Engineering trainee (BBL starter). The role offers a hands-on learning path in a full-service yacht service environment with a structured training plan under experienced colleagues.

You will gradually specialize in areas that fit your interests, work around water, and join a close-knit team focused on top-quality service for sailing yachts and race boats.

Qualifications

• Following or starting a BBL program or having an MBO background in mechanic, installer, maritime studies, or similar with potential to gain experience in boat restoration.
• Interest in technology, water sports, or shipping.
• Motivated and eager to learn new things.
• Team player who takes responsibility.

Responsibilities

• Sanding, painting, and polishing yachts.
• Performing maintenance and repair work on boats.
• Gaining knowledge of engines, electrical systems, and hydraulics.
