Job summary

Sperry Marine zoekt een Marine Service Engineer voor het team in Vlaardingen/Antwerpen. Je installeert, lost op en test geavanceerde marinesystemen zoals radar en besturingssystemen aan boord en aan land. Je leidt installaties en zeeproeven en traint bemanningen, met wereldwijde klanten als focus.

De rol vereist flexibiliteit voor irregular hours, offshore reizen en werken op hoogte. Ervaring met maritieme navigatie-systemen is een pluspunt.

Qualifications

• Solid ervaring in elektronica of een technische Associate's degree met praktische know-how.
• Een aanleg om elektronische en elektromechanische theorie toe te passen in de praktijk.
• In aanmerking komen voor een FCC General Radio Operator's License met Shipboard Radar Endorsement.
• Fysiek in staat 40–50 lbs te tillen, Jacobs-ladders offshore te beklimmen, en op hoogte of in krappe ruimtes te werken.
• Bonuspunten voor ervaring met maritieme navigatiesystemen zoals RADAR, Gyrocompassen, Autopilot en ECDIS.

• Leid installatiewerk aan boord en ondersteun proeven op zee voor optimale prestaties.
• Voer hands-on trainingen aan bemanning uit en bouw sterke klantrelaties.

Sperry Marine is on the lookout for a Marine Service Engineer to join either our Antwerp or Vlaardingen-based team. If you're passionate about electronics, thrive in dynamic environments, and want to work with cutting‑edge navigation systems aboard vessels around the world - this is your opportunity.

What You'll Do

Install, troubleshoot, and test advanced marine systems - including radar, steering, and control systems - aboard ships and onshore. Lead shipboard installations and support sea trials to ensure optimal performance. Deliver hands‑on training to crews and build strong customer relationships. Represent Sperry Marine with pride, promoting our products and services globally.

Work Pattern & Environment

Due to the nature of marine service work, you'll need to be flexible and ready for: anti‑social hours, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays; overnight stays—sometimes at short notice—depending on vessel schedules and service needs; offshore travel, including launch services up to 100 miles out and boarding via Jacob's ladder; working at heights (up to 60 feet) or in confined spaces, and exposure to varying weather conditions.

About You

• Solid experience in electronics or a technical Associate's Degree with proven hands‑on know-how.
• A knack for applying electronic and electro‑mechanical theory in real‑world scenarios.
• Eligibility for an FCC General Radio Operator's License with Shipboard Radar Endorsement.
• Physical readiness to lift 40–50 lbs, climb Jacob's ladders offshore, and work at heights or in confined spaces.
