Job summary

Exis Inversiones En Consultoria Informatica Y Tecnologia SA in Amsterdam is seeking a Junior Backend Developer to join our engineering team and contribute to Java-based backend applications and services across the full software lifecycle.

This is an excellent early-career opportunity to strengthen Java expertise, work with a collaborative team, participate in testing, reviews and production support, and take increasing ownership of tasks. The role requires 2–3 days onsite in Amsterdam.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of relevant backend/software development experience.
• Bachelor's degree in CS/SE/IT or related field.
• Experience developing backend applications/services.
• Knowledge of testing principles.
• Ability to work effectively in a team.
• Availability to work 2–3 days onsite in Amsterdam.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain backend applications and services using Java.
• Write clean, maintainable, reusable, and well-structured code.
• Apply established software engineering principles and design patterns.
• Participate in unit, integration, and other software testing activities.
• Collaborate with other developers, engineers and non-technical stakeholders.
• Support deployment and release activities.
• Assist with production support and troubleshooting.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of development processes and technical solutions.
• Participate in code reviews and apply feedback from senior team members.
• Take increasing ownership of assigned tasks and deliver reliable solutions.
