McDermott International is seeking an Associate Instrumentation & Controls Engineer to support the discipline through routine, entry-level design tasks in the oil & gas sector. You will work under guidance to apply instrumentation principles, develop instrument data sheets and P&IDs, and assist in cost awareness while coordinating with engineers and designers.

Qualifications

• Bachelors in Electrical, Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering (Master’s degree preferred).
• 0–3 years of oil and gas experience; site experience during construction and commissioning preferred.
• Working knowledge of standards, codes, and guidelines.
• Experience with SPI, InstruCalc, and MS Office Suite (Excel/Word).
• EIT or professional engineering society membership preferred.

Responsabilités

• Perform detailed design engineering, analysis, and calculations on basic tasks.
• Complete routine assignments under close supervision and mentoring.
• Prepare clear design calculations, analyses, and reports.
• Organize work to meet deadlines set by others.
• Communicate information clearly and check for understanding.
• Understand project scope, specifications, schedule and inter-discipline needs.
• Prepare sketches to guide Designers.
• Review MTOs and check drawings.
• Keep Lead Engineer informed of progress and concerns.
• Develop awareness of costs related to own work.
• Develop basic knowledge of MDR’s business units.
• Develop key deliverables: Vessel Level Sketches, Instrument Index, Instrument Data Sheets, Instrument Calculations, P&ID Development.
• Participate in P&ID reviews and vendor package development.
• Provide site support to Construction personnel for I&C inquiries.
