Job summary

Fiducial, a fast-growing deep-tech start-up on the TU Delft campus, seeks a Junior Information Security Officer to help build the information security backbone and grow towards a CISO-level role while addressing ABDO/ABRO compliance as a defence supplier.

You will work with ISO 27001 principles, implement risk assessments, access controls, and classification of information, and collaborate with HR and engineering in a small, hands-on team.

Qualifications

• Familiarity with information security concepts (risk assessment, access control, incident management)
• Understanding of ISO 27001 is a strong plus
• Willingness to gain ABDO/ABRO knowledge on the job
• Precise, structured way of working with documentation and processes
• Good communication in Dutch and English

Responsibilities

• Supporting and eventually owning ABDO/ABRO compliance trajectory and coordinating assessments and liaison with defence authorities
• Building out ISMS using ISO 27001 as backbone and mapping ABDO/ABRO requirements
• Running and maintaining risk assessments, access control policies, and information classification
• Coordinating personnel security requirements (e.g., VGB) with HR and management
• Be the internal contact for security questions from engineering, HR and management and translate compliance into practical processes
• Staying up to date on regulatory developments (ABDO/ABRO, export control) and flagging implications early
