Job summary

Hunkemöller is seeking a Junior Garment Technician to support the Technical team in upholding product standards, fit, and quality for our global clientele. You will assist in supplier collaborations, reviewing fit & pre-production details, and ensuring adherence to Quality Manual procedures under guidance from senior standards and fittings sessions.

Responsibilities include coordinating with design and buying teams, organizing fitting days, and communicating necessary changes to stakeholders.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor’s/Master’s/HBO degree in fashion, clothing, and/or quality control.
• 0–1 year of experience in a related role.
• Proficiency in English (spoken & written).
• Familiarity with MS-Office.
• Knowledge of MS-Illustrator would be a plus.

• Assist in ensuring fit consistency and quality management with suppliers.
• Support in reviewing fit/production standards and communicate changes as needed.
• Aid in monitoring quality standards per the Quality Manual with suppliers.
• Help organise and manage fitting days and HM block fits with internal teams.
• Create and manage technical information in the PLM system.

Hunkemöller is on the lookout for an enthusiastic and dedicated Junior Garment Technician to join our dynamic team. Are you eager to contribute to the development & delivery of products, ensuring consistent fit & quality for our global clientele? As a Junior Garment Technician within our Technical team, you'll assist in upholding the product standards set by our suppliers. Your Primary Tasks & Responsibilities Include

Main area 1: Assisting in Product fit consistency and quality management

• Support in suggesting improvements to both the fit and quality levels of our products and procedures.
• Aid in monitoring the agreed quality standards and liaise using the Quality Manual (QM) with our suppliers.
• Assist in ensuring that the procedures in the Quality Manual are adhered to, and take supportive action when discrepancies arise.
• With the guidance of overall standards and fitting sessions, you'll help in reviewing, reporting, and communicating any necessary changes to our suppliers.
• You'll assist in the review process for fit & pre-production seals, size specifications, product quality, and product information.
• Support in ensuring that all necessary changes are communicated and followed up with all internal and external stakeholders. You'll also assist in managing the technical critical path.
• Help in creating technical information within our PLM system.

Main area 2: Support in Execution of product fit/quality

• Provide assistance to our internal design and buying teams from a technical perspective regarding fitting.
• Aid in organizing and scheduling fitting days, ensuring all fit samples align with current HKM block fits.
• Ensure suppliers are informed about testing products as per the HKM supplier manual.

• A Bachelors-/Masters-/HBO-degree in fashion, clothing, and/or quality control.
• 0-1 year of experience in a related role.
• Proficiency in English (both spoken & written).
• Familiarity with MS-Office.
• Knowledge of MS-Illustrator would be a plus.
