Job summary

Suntree Foods BV, part of the Cefetra Group, is seeking a Junior Finance Controller to join a growing team.

You will support day-to-day financial administration, learn how financial reporting and internal controls are organized, and gradually take on more responsibility in a hands-on role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or master's degree in finance, business administration, accountancy or related field.
• 0–2 years of relevant work experience in finance or accounting.
• Basic knowledge of financial administration and reporting principles.
• Fluent in English (spoken and written).
• Accurate, structured and comfortable working with systems and financial data.

Responsibilities

• Support financial administration including accounts payable/receivable, payments, bank statements and general ledger activities.
• Assist with monthly financial reporting and reconciliations.
• Prepare and check financial data for VAT returns in the Netherlands and Germany.
• Collect, analyse and prepare financial data for internal and external reports.
• Support audit preparations with information for external auditors.
• Maintain accurate financial records and support internal control activities.
• Suggest ideas to improve financial and administrative processes.

The job

As Junior Finance Controller you will be part of a start-up environment, supported by the Cefetra Group. You will join the Finance Department and report to the Financial Controller. In this role, you will support the day-to-day financial administration and help ensure that financial processes run smoothly and accurately. You will work closely with experienced colleagues, learn how financial reporting and internal controls are organized, and gradually take on more responsibility as you develop. This is a hands-on support role for someone who is eager to learn, works accurately and wants to build a solid foundation in finance.

Your responsibilities are:

• Supporting financial administration, including accounts payable and receivable, payments, bank statement processing and general ledger activities.

• Assisting with monthly financial reporting and reconciliations between trade and financial applications.

• Preparing and checking financial data for VAT returns in various countries, including the Netherlands and Germany.

• Collecting, analysing and preparing financial data for internal and external reports.

• Assisting with audit preparations by gathering information and supporting documentation for external auditors.

• Helping to maintain accurate financial records and supporting internal control activities.

• Contributing ideas to improve and streamline financial and administrative processes.

Who you are

Most important is that you are eager to learn, accurate and proactive. To be successful at Suntree Foods BV, you do not need to know everything yet, but you do need to be curious, hands-on and willing to take responsibility for your work. You enjoy working with numbers, asking questions and supporting colleagues in getting things done. Ideally:

• You have completed a bachelor's or master's degree in finance, Business Administration, Accountancy or a related field.

• You have 0-2 years of relevant work experience, for example through a first job, internship or working student position in finance or accounting.

• You have basic knowledge of financial administration and reporting principles.

• You are fluent in English, both spoken and written.

• You are accurate, structured and comfortable working with systems and financial data.
