As a junior electrical engineer, you will work on electrical installations that are crucial to complex and socially relevant projects. You will ensure that systems function safely, reliably and in a future-proof manner.
Within Iv, you can work in various markets. In the maritime sector, you will design electrical systems for submarines and defence vessels. You will work on energy supplies, distribution systems and security systems that must continue to function under extreme conditions. Safety, reliability and space utilisation are key factors here.
In offshore projects, you will work on electrical installations for offshore substations where large amounts of power are collected and transported. You will design low- and medium-voltage systems, distribution equipment and cable routes. You will make calculations for load and selectivity and ensure that systems can withstand harsh conditions at sea.
Inside buildings, you will design energy supplies, emergency power installations and lighting systems for complex utility projects. And within our water department, you will work on installations for pumping stations, locks and water treatment plants where continuity is essential. Here, malfunctions are not an option.
You will work in multidisciplinary project teams on large, complex projects that you can be truly proud of. We love complex issues, but we don’t like to make things difficult. The lines of communication are short and the focus is on content. You will receive guidance from experienced engineers, but you will also be given responsibility for your own work. Would you like to delve deeper into calculations, 3D modelling or grow into a coordinating role? Then you will be given the opportunity to do so. This means you are the CEO of your own position and you actively build your future within Iv.
Higher professional education or university degree in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering
Affinity with HVAC, climate technology and energy issues
Interest in offshore and/or industrial installations
Strong analytical skills and meticulous in your calculations
You speak and write Dutch well
