Job summary

Iv-Groep b.v offers a challenging internship for Mechanical Engineering students to work on diverse projects in the Netherlands. You will engage in 3D modelling, strength and fatigue calculations, and develop technical specifications within a multidisciplinary team.

The opportunity supports graduation projects and real-world impact. You will gain hands-on experience with SolidWorks or Inventor, work with engineers from multiple disciplines, and receive a competitive internship allowance

Qualifications

• You are a higher professional education or university student studying Mechanical Engineering.
• You are interested in one or more technical markets (energy and offshore, infrastructure and water, maritime, buildings or industry).
• You have strong analytical skills and enjoy designing and calculating.
• You have experience with 3D software (such as SolidWorks, Inventor or similar).
• You are curious, critical and think beyond standard solutions.

Responsibilities

• 3D modelling and strength/fatigue calculations during the internship.
• Draw up technical specifications for structures and installations.
• Optimise structures and installations in multidisciplinary projects.
• Collaborate with engineers across structural, civil, electrical, process and systems disciplines.

During your internship, you will be part of a multidisciplinary project team within one of our areas of expertise. You will discuss your interests in advance. This allows us to ensure that your internship matches your ambitions. At the same time, you will gain a good understanding of the breadth of Iv and discover how different disciplines work together on a single integrated design.

During your internship, you will be involved in 3D modelling, performing strength and fatigue calculations, drawing up technical specifications and optimising structures and installations. You will work closely with colleagues from structural engineering, civil engineering, electrical engineering, process engineering and systems engineering, among others. It is precisely this multidisciplinary collaboration that makes your internship so substantive and educational.
