Job summary

CSC is seeking a (Junior) Depositary Services Officer for a 12-month fixed-term contract with the prospect of a permanent position. The role is hybrid, based in Amsterdam or Maarsbergen, with 40 hours per week.

You will perform and oversee core depositary tasks, maintain asset records, and ensure regulatory compliance while supporting client relationships. The ideal candidate has a finance-related degree, English and Dutch fluency, and experience in regulated depositary services.

• Bachelor HBO or Master in Finance, Accounting, Business or Economics.
• Fluent in English and Dutch is required.
• Experience in depositary services in a regulated environment is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform and review core depositary activities, including cash flow monitoring and asset safekeeping.
• Monitor and reconcile fund cash accounts daily and escalate unusual transactions.
• Conduct asset safekeeping controls and maintain asset records.
• Ensure fund operations comply with regulations and internal procedures.
• Prepare and review depositary work following the four-eyes principle.
• Collaborate with Senior Depositary Officers and Directors to nurture client relationships.

Some of the things you’ll be doing

• Performing and reviewing core depositary activities, including cash flow monitoring, asset safekeeping, and oversight functions.
• Monitoring and reconciling fund cash accounts on a daily basis, identifying and escalating any unusual or inconsistent transactions.
• Conducting asset safekeeping controls by verifying, documenting, and maintaining records of assets held by the fund or by the fund manager on behalf of the fund.
• Carrying out oversight activities to ensure that fund operations and transactions comply with applicable regulations, fund documentation, and internal procedures.
• Preparing and reviewing depositary work in line with the four-eyes principle, ensuring accuracy, quality, and regulatory adherence.
• Collaborating closely with Senior Depositary Officers and Depositary Directors to build and maintain strong client relationships.
• Acting as a trusted partner to clients, providing high-quality service and support on depositary-related matters.
• Contributing as a key member of a collaborative team environment focused on delivering exceptional client service and operational excellence.

What technical skills, experience, and qualifications do you need?

• A Bachelor’s (HBO) or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field.
• Fluency in English and Dutch is required.
• Initial professional experience within depositary services, investment funds, banking, financial services, or a similar regulated environment. Experience coordinating projects, mentoring colleagues, or leading small initiatives is considered an asset.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build effective relationships with colleagues, clients, and key stakeholders.
• A team-oriented mindset, combined with a high level of energy, motivation, adaptability, and a solution-driven approach.
• A commitment to fostering an open, collaborative, and integrity-driven culture where professionalism and mutual respect are at the core of everything you do.
• Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to effectively manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of the AIFMD, UCITS framework, and the Dutch regulatory landscape is advantageous but not essential.
