Job summary

Creative Clicks B.V. in Amsterdam is seeking a Junior Data Engineer to join the Data Quality & Finance Innovation team. You will learn to build and maintain data pipelines, optimize ETL processes, and support data warehousing for reporting and decision making.

You will collaborate with Data Engineers, Software Developers, Analysts to translate business requirements into technical tasks and gradually take ownership of data integrations. An entry-level position with growth potential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Foundational knowledge of SQL, relational databases, and data modelling.
• An understanding of ETL processes and data pipelines.
• Some practical experience gained through employment, an internship, academic projects, or personal projects.
• An interest in cloud-based data environments and modern data engineering.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Attention to detail and an appreciation for accurate, reliable data.
• The ability to communicate with both technical and non-technical colleagues.
• A proactive attitude and willingness to ask questions, learn, and improve.
• The ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team.

Responsibilities

• Building, maintaining, and optimizing ETL and data pipelines.
• Supporting the development and maintenance of our data warehouse.
• Mapping and integrating data from multiple internal and external sources.
• Writing and improving SQL queries and stored procedures.
• Helping design data structures for reporting and analytics.
• Building automated controls to monitor data quality and integrity.
• Investigating performance issues and supporting troubleshooting.
• Contributing to AI-enabled solutions within our data warehouse and reporting environment.
• Preparing and maintaining clear technical documentation.
• Supporting reliable data delivery to analytical models, dashboards, and reports.
• Sharing ideas and learning from colleagues through technical discussions and project reviews.
