Job summary

Allseas, a world‑leading offshore energy contractor based in Delft, is seeking a Junior Data Engineer to transform raw data into powerful insights using Azure Databricks and Power BI. You will develop ETL workflows and real-time pipelines, contributing to a modern data lakehouse architecture with Delta Lake and supporting AI capabilities.

Qualifications

• Foundational knowledge of SQL and Python.
• Basic understanding of databases, data modelling, data warehousing or ETL.
• Structured problem-solving approach.
• Interest in learning new technologies and processes.
• Good communication skills in English.
• Attention to detail and building reliable data solutions.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to development and maintenance of data pipelines using Azure services, especially Databricks.
• Support data lakehouse architecture with Delta Lake for storage and governance.
• Create and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports for actionable insights.
• Translate business requirements into scalable data solutions with cross-functional teams.
• Ensure data integrity, security, and quality standards across the data infra.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize ETL and streaming pipelines.
• Develop scalable, reusable ETL batch processing patterns.
