Job summary
Junior researcher Data-driven intelligence and AI at Saxion conducts applied research on data-driven intelligence and AI. You will analyse data, design and validate ML models, and prototype production-ready solutions in collaboration with researchers and software developers.
You will join an enthusiastic team across Enschede, Deventer and Apeldoorn, contributing to innovation in criminal investigations while advancing your research capabilities and documentation practices.
Qualifications
- Bachelor degree in statistics, data science, computer science, applied mathematics or related field.
- Strong statistical and quantitative analysis skills with theoretical understanding.
- Experience with quantitative modelling and machine learning.
- Proficient programming for data science (Python) and collaboration with software developers.
Responsibilities
- Conduct applied research on data-driven intelligence and AI.
- Analyse and integrate data from diverse sources and validate models.
- Design, implement, test and prototype statistical and ML models.
- Document work and contribute to technical outputs and education.
- Support integration of models into larger software systems with engineers and researchers.
