Overview

Are you passionate about shaping meaningful messages that inspire and inform? We are looking for someone detail-oriented, well-organized, and passionate about writing to join our team as a Junior Communications Specialist. In this position, you\'ll play a vital role in crafting impactful internal communications and supporting external messaging initiatives.

Your day-to-day work will involve editing and proofreading content with precision and partnering with internal departments to develop and deliver communications, ensuring consistency in tone and messaging across all channels. Primarily, your focus will be on internal communications, working closely with stakeholders such as our Community Relations and Wellness teams to create engaging and informational content.

You\'ll be part of the Branding team at Applied Medical\'s European headquarters in Amersfoort (NL), reporting to the Corporate Communications Manager. Our environment is dynamic and collaborative, offering opportunities to grow and make a meaningful, positive difference.

Key Responsibilities
  • Write, edit and proofread content for various communication channels, including the company\'s intranet, internal digital signage and newsletters
  • Build relationships with internal departments to best understand each team and help identify and execute communication needs and opportunities
  • Ensure consistency of messaging across platforms and audiences
  • Support corporate communications projects from concept to execution
  • Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and effectiveness
What You Bring
  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, English, or a related field
  • At least one year of experience in communications or a related role
  • Exceptional proofreading, editing and copywriting skills, with knowledge of AP style
  • Excellent command of English (written and verbal); Dutch proficiency is a plus
  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to producing high-quality work
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
  • Strong interpersonal skills and organizational awareness
