Job summary

STX Amsterdam is seeking a junior Finance Associate to join a collaborative team responsible for day-to-day accounting, invoice processing, reconciliations, and supporting month-end and audits. You will gain hands-on experience across core activities, building a foundation in financial controls within a supportive, dynamic environment.

The role emphasizes accuracy, English communication, and proactive problem solving, with opportunities for development and relocation support.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in the areas of Finance and Accounting or equivalent certification.
• 0–2 years of relevant work experience and fluent English speaking.
• Able to start in January and work autonomously.

Responsibilities

• Processing purchase invoices and expense reports according to the existing procedures.
• Processing of payment and bank transactions and daily reconciliations of bank statements and cash flow overviews.
• Perform monthly reconciliations between the General Ledger and the Subledger, balance sheet reconciliations.
• Support the Finance team with the day-to-day, monthly and year-end operations of the finance department, including audits.
• Within the financial administrative organization, you identify possibilities for improvement and procedures.

TEAM AND ROLE:

You'll join a collaborative Finance team responsible for maintaining accurate financial records and supporting the smooth running of day-to-day operations. The team works closely across the business to ensure strong financial controls, timely reporting, and continuous process improvements.

In this role, you'll gain hands-on experience across core accounting activities, including invoice processing, reconciliations, and supporting month-end and audit processes. It's a great opportunity for someone early in their career to develop technical skills, take ownership of tasks, and contribute to improving finance processes within a supportive and dynamic environment.

KEY REQUIREMENTS
