Job summary

The Johan Huizinga Fellowship at the Rijksmuseum invites MA graduates, PhD students and post‑doctoral candidates to conduct historical research into objects in the museum’s collection. Qualifications

• MA graduates or PhD students: OPEN to MA/PhD/ post‑doctoral candidates.
• Proven research capabilities and excellent English language command.
• Proficiency in Dutch recommended for primary and secondary sources.

Responsibilities

• Conduct historical research on objects in the Rijksmuseum collection.
• Draw on objects as subjects and sources of information.
• Engage with museum expertise, library and archives to support work.
• Collaborate with curatorial staff advisor and aim for publication in Rijksmuseum studies.
