Conservatorium Maastricht invites an internationally active electric bass player to join as Main Subject Electric Bass Teacher from 1 February 2027. You will guide students in developing their artistic identity and preparing for a professional career in music, combining strong artistic practice with an inspiring educational approach.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Jazz electric bass or equivalent.
• Proven teaching experience in higher music education preferred.
• Strong knowledge of jazz and popular music styles.

Responsibilities

• Teach individual electric bass lessons and related courses.
• Coach and mentor students in artistic and professional development.
• Contribute to student recruitment activities.
• Participate in ongoing development of the educational programme.
• Engage in educational, research, and artistic projects and activities.
• Collaborate with colleagues across Conservatorium Maastricht.
