The IWA invites applications for the role of Intern for Capacity Development and Career development in The Hague, Netherlands. The intern will assist in reviewing competency frameworks, contribute to capacity development principles, and help build a career development framework within the IWA network.
This six-month placement starts asap and offers a stipend as described. Working hours are Monday–Friday, totaling 40 hours per week, with supervision under the Learning and Capacity Development

IWA’s strategic plan (2014-2018) has added a new strategic priority area that is focused on IWA as afacilitator Towards learning and professional development. Its main goal is to have water andenvironment professionals improve their knowledge and skills by using the IWA learning andprofessional updating mechanisms.
This also means that the sector’s organisations need support inbecoming learning organisations ontheir own. We are in the initial stages, this requires scoping onkey principles for effective capacity development for IWA’s and its member organisations,developing a larger water sector competencies framework, and a water sector’s careerdevelopment framework.
