Paebbl is seeking an IT/OT Support Engineer to be the go-to on-site contact at our Rotterdam-area site. This hands-on, fixed-term role requires practical, self-sufficient work to keep IT and OT systems running in a fast-moving industrial environment.
You will handle day-to-day IT support, device and software administration, and provide networking and OT/security support where needed. This is a 4-month contract with potential extension.
Paebbl is an industrial resilience company turning captured CO₂ into carbon-storing building materials. We accelerate the natural process of CO₂ mineralisation - in which CO₂ reacts with minerals to form stable carbonates from thousands of years - to a matter of hours, producing a carbon-negative powder that can replace conventional, heavily emitting cementitious materials. Having switched on the world's first continuous CO₂ mineralisation demonstration plant, we are now scaling from startup execution into structured industrial operations. It is a fast-moving environment where pragmatism, ownership, and the ability to build things that work in the real world matter.
This is a hands-on, on-site role for someone who is comfortable being the go-to person for IT and OT support in a fast-moving environment: practical, self-sufficient, and happy to own the day-to-day work that keeps a site running.
Paebbl needs on-site cover for IT/OT support, administration, and networking. Much of this work is hands-on and cannot be done remotely - device admin, networking, and day-to-day support all need someone physically present. This is a fixed-term hire to cover that work directly and keep things running smoothly on-site.
As IT/OT Support Engineer, you will take on the bulk of day-to-day IT support, handle device and software administration, and provide networking and OT/security support where needed. You will be the person people turn to when something is not working, and the one who keeps the site’s systems steady. This is a 4 month contract role, with opportunity for extension.
You will likely succeed in this role if you are practical, dependable, and comfortable being the only on-site IT/OT person for much of the day. You do not wait to be told what to do - you see what needs fixing and get on with it. You are happy handling the basics well and confident enough to take on networking and OT/security work where it is needed.
You bring low ego, a strong sense of ownership, and the kind of steady reliability that lets the rest of the team get on with their work knowing the site is in good hands.
