Action is a fast-growing non-food discounter, hiring a Technology Project Manager to drive strategic tech initiatives from idea to implementation. You will own projects, manage scope, budget, and risks, and ensure business value while coordinating across international stakeholders.

In a fast-paced environment, you will lead delivery, enable adoption, and report progress to sponsors and steering committees, with strong emphasis on collaboration between Business and Technology teams.

Qualifications

• Master's degree or equivalent level of education.
• 8+ years of experience leading complex technology projects or programs.
• Proven track record delivering business-critical initiatives, preferably in international organisations.
• Experience with project budgets >€1 million.
• Strong stakeholder management across multiple levels.
• Experience budgeting, risks, dependencies and delivery teams.
• Knowledge of traditional PM methodologies and Agile.
• Excellent English communication; Dutch is a plus.
• Experience in retail and SAP environments is an advantage.

Action is a fast-growing non-food discounter with more than 3,500 stores in 16 countries. In this internal opportunity, you will drive technology projects that support Action's growth and transformation. This role is for someone who takes ownership, creates momentum, and turns complex plans into concrete results.

Your Role

As Technology Project Manager, you are accountable for the successful delivery of strategic technology initiatives, from idea to implementation. You ensure projects deliver clear business value and do not stall.

You are not just coordinating activities. You drive progress, challenge assumptions, remove roadblocks, and bring business and Technology stakeholders together around clear objectives. You create structure in complex situations, ensure decisions are made, and keep delivery on track.

Working in an international and fast-paced environment, you manage scope, planning, budget, risks, dependencies, and stakeholder alignment throughout the project lifecycle. You are a trusted partner for senior stakeholders and challenge constructively when needed to achieve the best outcome for Action.

You are an energetic, delivery-focused project leader who enjoys making things happen. You have a strong sense of ownership and naturally take the lead when situations become complex. You influence without formal authority, bring people together around a shared goal, and challenge stakeholders in a constructive and professional way.

• A master's degree or equivalent level of education.
• 8+ years of experience leading complex technology projects or programmes.
• A proven track record delivering business-critical initiatives, preferably in international organisations.
• Experience with project budgets of more than €1 million.
• Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills across multiple organisational levels.
• Experience managing budgets, risks, dependencies, resources, and delivery teams.
• Knowledge of both traditional project management methodologies and Agile ways of working.
• Excellent communication skills in English; Dutch is a plus.
• Experience in retail and SAP environments is considered an advantage.
