Job summary

Kyndryl is seeking an IT Platform Engineer to blend software development with data, delivering reliable, scalable solutions in a cloud-based environment. You’ll work across data platforms and services, applying SOLID principles, design patterns, and DevOps practices to enable enterprise data strategies.

You’ll collaborate with Product Owners, Architects and IT stakeholders, mentor teammates, and help build and maintain Azure-based data platforms with CI/CD pipelines and automated tests,

Qualifications

• Strong experience in object-oriented programming, especially Python.
• Proven expertise with Cloud services (Azure, SDKs).
• Experience with Unity Catalog is a plus.
• Infrastructure as Code (Terraform) experience is a plus.
• Strong DevOps mindset with CI/CD expertise.
• Application of SOLID principles and design patterns.
• Familiarity with writing layer tests and the Pytest framework.

Who You Are

We are looking for a colleague with proven experience as a IT Platform Engineer with a proficiency in Object Oriented programming languages (e.g. Python). You’ll be engaged in all aspects of reliable software development: from planning/design stage, hands-on development and testing to automated deployment. We are also looking for someone with the following profile:

Required Technical Skills

• Strong experience in object-oriented programming, analysis, and design (Python preferred).
• Proven expertise with Cloud services (using SDK, Terraform, Databricks – Azure preferred).
• Experience with Unity Catalog is a plus.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (e.g. Terraform) is a plus.
• Strong understanding of the incremental software development cycle, DevOps, and CI/CD.
• Application of SOLID principles and design patterns.
• Familiarity with writing layer tests/testing pyramid (Pytest is a plus)

Soft Skills

• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
• Analytical thinker and effective problem solver.
• Strong sense of ownership and accountability.
• Ability to mentor and support team members
