Mission

The IT Onsite Support Engineer provides high-quality IT services to stay competitive in an increasingly interconnected world. Atlas Copco’s digital journey continues, enabling us to run our business at full speed.

Your main workplace will be Amsterdam, Netherlands, with occasional trips to other Atlas Copco locations in the Netherlands (Oss, Oosterhout, Tilburg, Zwijndrecht, Zwolle, and Leende).

This position reports to the IT Team Leader – Netherlands (Ferry van den Boomgaard).

Responsibilities

  1. Provide full onsite/desk side support to end users for all their IT issues, service/change requests.
  2. Image, deploy, upgrade, and refresh PCs; manage assets.
  3. Administrate and resolve incidents assigned to the local on-site support.
  4. Participate in small to medium-sized projects.
  5. Provide hands-on support to our specialist team with server, network, telephony infrastructure.
  6. Advise customers and users on their IT needs and best practices.
  7. Establish and maintain strong relationships with local businesses.
  8. Provide local subject matter expertise regarding processes, technology, organization, and business.
  9. Continuously develop and improve On-Site Support service delivery.
  10. Maintain a focus on customer satisfaction, compliance, and standards.
  11. Work with the Service Desk, Application Managers, IT Managers, and other stakeholders using the ITIL methodology for IT Service Management.
  12. Collaborate with peers at other Benelux locations for cross-functional support.
  13. Follow up on daily operations and projects (ticket handling) to ensure reportability.

Experience

  • At least 2 years of successful IT service delivery experience.
  • Proven experience as a single point of contact in service delivery.
  • Experience working with peers across different regions with cultural awareness.

Knowledge

  • Strong technical troubleshooting skills for PCs, laptops, Windows 10/11.
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft products.
  • Basic knowledge of cloud technologies.
  • Understanding of IT service delivery in dynamic environments.
  • Familiarity with ITIL, PMI, and SDLC processes.
  • Experience with ServiceNow is a plus.

Education

  • Higher degree/diploma or IT industry certifications.
  • ITIL Foundation certification is beneficial.
  • Fluency in Dutch and English, spoken and written.
