Polarsteps is hiring an iOS-focused senior engineering leader in Amsterdam. You will mentor a team of skilled iOS engineers, balance technical excellence with people leadership, and collaborate with the iOS Tech Lead to drive the app forward.

Expect a mix of hands-on coding (≈60%) and team leadership (≈40%), working with product managers, designers, and other engineers in a deeply collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• Led teams of engineers and mentored for 2+ years in fast-scaling product teams.
• Experience with large iOS apps published on App Store and strong UI/UX sensibilities.
• Hands-on leadership balancing people and technical excellence in a high-growth environment.
• Proven ability to reduce technical debt while shipping user-focused features.
• Familiar with legacy Objective-C code alongside Swift.
• Experience optimizing performance and memory with profiling tools.
