Job summary

Flynn and Chase, headquartered in Amsterdam, is seeking an Investment Associate to lead deal execution end-to-end and drive value creation across its portfolio of mid-market companies. The firm has completed 265+ investments and 200+ platform and buy-and-build transactions, focusing on healthcare, industrial manufacturing, business services and defence.

You will build and drive buy-and-build pipelines, work with management on value creation plans, budgets and performance tracking, and report to

Qualifications

• 3–5 years' experience in private equity, M&A, transaction services, restructuring or top-tier strategy consulting.
• Strong LBO modelling and commercial analysis skills, with the judgement to form your own view on a business.
• Genuine interest in operational value creation and buy-and-build, not purely process work.
• Fluent Dutch and English (both essential).
• Based in or relocating to Amsterdam; entrepreneurial, hands-on and comfortable with responsibility early.

Job description

We are partnering with one of the longest-established mid-market value-add private equity investors in North-Western Europe, headquartered in Amsterdam, on the hire of a Investment Associate.

The firm has completed 265+ investments and more than 200 platform and buy-and-build transactions, delivering an average 4x profit growth across its portfolio. Value creation comes from structural improvement rather than financial engineering, across concept investing, growth investing and recovery situations, in sectors such as healthcare, industrial manufacturing, business services and defence. Commercial and operational due diligence is largely done in-house, and the team invests its own capital alongside its LPs.

The role
