Job summary

CEVA Logistics in Nieuwegein is seeking an experienced Inventory Controller to maintain inventory accuracy and support daily warehouse operations.

Responsibilities

• Perform inventory checks (cycle counts and stock audits) and maintain accurate inventory records in the WMS.
• Analyze inventory discrepancies, identify root causes, and implement improvements.
• Prepare inventory reports, KPI analyses, and ABC analyses to support process optimization.
• Act as the key link between warehouse and Customer Service for inventory-related issues and claims investigations.
• Collaborate closely with warehouse operators, team leaders, and supervisors, while supporting inbound and outbound operations from an inventory perspective.
• Operate a reach truck to perform inventory checks and ensure compliance with safety procedures.

YOUR ROLE

To strengthen our team in Nieuwegein, we are looking for an experienced Inventory Controller. In this role, you are responsible for maintaining inventory accuracy and ensuring that physical stock matches system records. You are a key link between warehouse operations and inventory management, using your analytical skills to identify discrepancies and implement improvements.

As part of this position, you will also be expected to operate a reach truck to perform stock checks, investigate inventory differences, and support daily warehouse activities.

We are specifically looking for a candidate with proven inventory control experience who can work independently, take ownership, and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement.

WHAT WILL YOU DO?

You will be part of the Inventory Control team at our warehouse in Nieuwegein. Your main objective is to ensure inventory accuracy and support operational excellence throughout the warehouse.

Your responsibilities include:

• Performing inventory checks (cycle counts and stock audits) and maintaining accurate inventory records in the WMS;
• Analyzing inventory discrepancies, identifying root causes, and implementing improvements;
• Preparing inventory reports, KPI analyses, and conducting ABC analyses to support process optimization;
• Acting as the key link between the warehouse and the Customer Service team for inventory-related issues and claims investigations;
• Collaborating closely with warehouse operators, team leaders, and supervisors, while supporting inbound and outbound operations from an inventory perspective;
• Operating a reach truck to perform inventory checks and ensuring compliance with operational and safety procedures.

WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

• Proven experience as an Inventory Controller in a logistics or warehouse environment;
• Valid reach truck certificate with practical reach truck driving experience;
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and a proactive, accurate, and results-driven mindset;
• Advanced Excel skills and the ability to work with inventory data and reports;
• Good command of the English language, both written and spoken;
• Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with different teams.

Additionally, as an Inventory Control Employee, you will receive:

• A gross (bruto) salary between € 2.720,- and € 3.200,- per month (salary depends on your work experience);
• A one-year contract with the prospect of a permanent position;
• Employment conditions according to our own CEVA collective labor agreement (Dutch: cao), including 25 vacation days and 5 additional leave days;
• Profit distribution of up to 3% based on positive business results;
• Good pension scheme and 8% holiday allowance;
• Travel allowance starting from a minimum of 10 kilometers and capped at 50 kilometers one-way;
